About Cliff Hill

Cliff Hill is the Founder and CEO of ProspeX Recruiting and NIL Advisory, where he works with some of the nation’s top high school and college football players, helping families navigate recruiting, revenue sharing, NIL opportunities, branding, and long-term career planning.

​

A graduate of Marshall University and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Hill spent more than two decades building and operating successful businesses in healthcare, real estate development, and construction before retiring at age 44. Throughout his career, he negotiated millions of dollars in contracts involving labor, materials, real estate, and business acquisitions—experience that now benefits the athletes and families he represents. During his years in healthcare practice, Hill treated a wide range of patients, including many professional athletes and NFL players, giving him firsthand insight into the demands, challenges, and opportunities that athletes face throughout their careers.

Hill has been actively involved in the NIL space since its inception, predating many of the current general managers and personnel leaders working throughout college athletics today. He regularly travels across the country to visit campuses, meet with coaching staffs, athletic departments, collectives, and general managers, and assist families during recruiting and contract negotiations. Hill has worked with virtually every major football program in the country, including many of the top schools in the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12 conferences. He is also certified in NIL, further demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of the evolving collegiate athletics landscape and providing athletes and families with informed, professional guidance.

Growing up in southern West Virginia as the son of a coal miner, Hill was fortunate to have several mentors who invested in him and shared their knowledge, helping shape the path that led to his success. That experience continues to drive his passion for mentoring young athletes and supporting them in all aspects of life. He is committed to helping athletes maximize every opportunity available to them, both on and off the field. Hill has been involved in securing some of the largest NIL agreements of the modern era and works closely with athletes to ensure they make informed financial decisions that position them for long-term success well beyond their playing careers.

Hill's football background spans more than 20 years of coaching at the Pop Warner, middle school, and high school levels. His experience evaluating talent, building relationships, and understanding the recruiting landscape has allowed him to work directly with elite prospects, including multiple five-star and nationally ranked athletes. He has worked with multiple players who were ranked No. 1 nationally at their positions coming out of high school by 247Sports, Rivals, and On3, and has negotiated multiple seven-figure NIL and revenue-sharing opportunities. Hill has also worked with numerous future first- and second-round NFL Draft selections.

Through strategic partnerships with one of the premier sports marketing and branding organizations in the world, ProspeX athletes gain access to elite marketing resources, brand-building opportunities, and national exposure. Several athletes within the ProspeX network have participated in national marketing campaigns for major companies, helping them maximize their visibility and NIL potential. His mission is simple: help athletes maximize opportunities while protecting their long-term future.

Hill believes that recruiting is about far more than collecting offers. Success comes from developing as a student-athlete, building a strong personal brand, making informed decisions, and creating a plan that extends beyond football. His approach emphasizes discipline, character, financial responsibility, and long-term thinking.

Having worked with coaches, general managers, collective leaders, and athletic departments across the country, Hill brings a unique combination of business experience, negotiation expertise, recruiting knowledge, and relationship-building skills to every athlete and family he serves.
